That instinct not to start from zero is a fair one — you probably shouldn't have to. Someone who's been stitching for family for years needs a different starting point than someone who's never touched a machine, but most course pages don't make that distinction obvious. Before picking anything, ask to see the actual syllabus and where a beginner-with-some-basics like you would slot in, not just the course title. And keep your end goal in view while comparing — 'confident enough to take small orders' points to a different course than 'want to run a full boutique.' The goal should pick the course, not the other way around.
